Our Wedding

Joseph and I met in the beginning 2023 in Sacramento, CA. We worked at the same Marina and Joe helped my law firm move buildings. After that day, he would come to visit me and wait for me outside my office window. We would talk about anything and everything under the sun and soon realized we had a bunch of things in common. One day in June, we went on a walking date around the neighborhood by my Law School. After that day, we have been inseparable and by far the best of friends!

WHERE (AND WHEN)&nbsp;IT ALL BEGAN…Twenty Mile House was born as a stagecoach stop and trading post. With the towns of Beckworth and Quincy 20 miles away on either side, the property was aptly named “Twenty Mile House.” It became a frequent stop on what teamsters at the time called the “Reno-Quincy” run. Twenty Mile House was a place where travelers could take refuge from the elements, sell goods, and refresh their horses.

A&nbsp;GENERAL STORE,&nbsp;POST OFFICE &amp; MOREThe Langhorst Brothers made the first expansion with the addition of the general store, which still serves as the heart of the property. Later, they expanded further to include a federal post office and Gerhard Langhorst served as postmaster of Cromberg for over 30 years. A two-story addition of 10 hotel rooms adjoining the general store mean that no traveler was ever turned away.

Is this a single-day event?No! The best part of the Gustafson/Chaloux wedding is having extra time to spend with close family and friends. We've turned this into a 3-Day Event!! What time should I arrive at and leave from the ranch?Check in: 06/20/2027 anytime after 4:00 pmCheck out: 06/22/2027 10:00 am Where is the closest Airport?Reno/Tahoe International Airport, Reno, NV (1 hour 15 minutes from the venue). Do I need to rent a car?Yes. Or Lyft/Uber. Discount codes provided after wedding reception only. Please plan to safely get to and from the location at night. Do I have to stay on site?No, and while we would love for everyone to, unfortunately, not everyone can. Please RSVP early to secure your spot. They are going fast! The next closest Lodging Accommodations are a short drive from the venue in the towns of Greagle, Cromberg, or Portola. Check out the Travel Tab for more information. Can I bring my pet?Only Service Dogs are allowed. If you need to bring your furry friend, please consider dog-friendly babysitting services in the area or staying in pet-friendly lodging off-site. Can I bring my children?While we would love to celebrate with your entire family, space limitations require us to politely ask you to leave the kiddos with a trusted babysitter. When do I need to RSVP by?Please let us know by February 1, 2027, if you plan to attend. Must I participate in every wedding activity?No. Aside from the ceremony and reception, please only participate in what makes you feel comfortable. Are there kitchens in each Cabin?Yes! Please feel free to stop at the store on the way to check in and grab whatever yummy items you desire! Check the Main Page for the Itinerary of planned events! Are RVs allowed on site?Unfortunately, no. But there is a beautiful RV park nearby. Check the Travel Tab for more information!

If you’d rather float than boat, never fear. There are lots of laid-back activities in the area including golfing, fishing, horseback riding, and tubing. Most are family-friendly as well! Whether you’d rather spend an afternoon soaking up the railroad history of Northern California, antiquing, or sampling some of the local fare, we’ve got ideas.
